Patient Participation Group AGM (Updated March 2015.)
The Patient Group Annual General Meeting is at Istead Rise Surgery at 7pm on Thursday 12th March 2015. All patients welcome.
On line services...
Did you know that you can now book appointments on line? (You can also check yourself in at the surgery when you arrive by using the touchscreen!)
Did you also know you can order your repeat prescription using the same on line service?
Well - you can! All you need to do is sign up to "Vision On Line." Application forms are available at any surgery. Please note - it is a requirement that photographic identification is supplied when you sign up - to ensure your medical records are kept safe! (In a future enhancement you may have seen in the Press - from April 2015 you will also have limited access to your medical records using the same system.)
Need to know more - contact reception!
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) (New October 2014)
The Practice is now live on EPS, which means (for non dispensing patients) you can nominate a pharmacy to recieve your prescription and it will be sent direct to them via computer, without you having to come into the surgery to collect it. Further details and nomination can be completed at your usual pharmacy.
ALL patients who are entitled to have the vaccine have been sent a letter advising them of this. The Shinles vaccine is being given alongside Flu at the clinics above but PLEASE BRING YOUR LETTER - NO LETTER - NO JAB!
NEW TELEPHONE NUMBERS FOR THE PRACTICE
Following the work completed by the Patient Participation Group alongside the Practice, the new telephone numbers went live 19th April 2013.
So, in place of the 0844 number, patients now have the following options;
Any surgery: 0300 456 2305
Istead Rise or Shorne Surgery Patients: 01474 247003
Summerhouse Surgery Patients: 01322 402210 (Your existing number)
The 0844 number will stay in place for a period until patients have had time to get used to the new numbers, then it will vanish for ever!
